Title: Manager Marketing Communications C2
The Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA), an organization entrusted with the assessment, collection, and accounting for tax revenues for the Malawi Government is inviting applications from versatile and suitably qualified candidates to fill the above vacant position in Corporate Affairs Division.
Overall Objectives
The overall objective of this role is to develop, implement, and manage integrated marketing and communication strategies that enhance the Authority brand visibility, promote its taxpayer services, and support the achievement of strategic and revenue objectives. The role ensures consistent messaging across all communication channels, strengthens stakeholder engagement, and builds a positive corporate image aligned with the organization’s mission and goals.
Main Responsibilities
Develoing branding, advertising and promotional strategies in line with MRA’s corporate goals and overall Corporate Affairs strategies and goals
Leading and managing the development of employee communication strategy to improve internal communication among staff
Developing and implementing Corporate Social Responsibility programmes, sponsorship and donations
Advising Director of Corporate Affairs on emerging trends in media and social marketing efforts
Championing the branding of MRA services, products and assets
Managing media relations in order to create a positive media relation with local and international media
Managing Commissioner General’s recognition programs and special ceremonies (medal presentations, individual recognition, etc.)
Overseeing the production of all corporate publications such as annual reports, newsletter, website and intranet to ensure that staff and stakeholders are kept up-to-date on MRA developments
Leading in coordinating corporate events such as meetings, workshops and conferences to ensure that events are well organized to meet expected goals
Developing and managing the marketing budget to ensure delivery of all communication and marketing activities within the agreed annual work plan
Preparing and submiting performance reports to the Director of Corporate Affairs.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum of Master’s Degree in Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations or Mass Communication from a recognized university plus postgraduate certificate in Marketing from recognized bodies
7 years of business-to-business marketing communications management experience with a minimum of two years branding experience in a leading commercial organization
