The Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA), an organization entrusted with the assessment, collection, and accounting for tax revenues for the Malawi Government is inviting applications from versatile and suitably qualified candidates to fill the above vacant position in the ICT Division.

Overall Objective

To manage the smooth running of Datacentre Hardware, UPS Systems and Cooling Systems as well as management of computer rooms in all MRA Stations.

Main Responsibilities


 Liaising with suppliers/contractors on routine and fault maintenance of equipment, including Servers, UPS Systems and Cooling Systems 
 Enforcing security standards on the equipment within the datacentre and computer rooms in all stations 
Planing and managing preventive maintenance of all Datacenter Hardware and UPS Systems
Establishing and recommends policies and procedures that are required for the smooth operations of the datacentre technologies and centralized UPS systems. 
Ensuring that datacenter and stations computer rooms are operating on clean (UPS) power.
Ensuring that Datacenter and Stations computer rooms power standards are being adhered to 
Ensuring that there is standardized power supplied to ICT Equipment from Generators and ESCOM in datacenter and all stations
Ensuring that standardized electrical wiring suitable for ICT equipment is carried out in all stations by providing guidance to the Authority
Managing ICT Infrastructure Inventory and Insurance 
Managing contracts inventory for all Datacenter service providers and suppliers 
Ensuring conformity to Contracts by suppliers
Ensuring that warrant/SLA terms are adhered to at all the times

Qualifications and Experience

A minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or BSc Computer Science or any ICT related fields

At least two (2) year’s work experience in ICT Hardware and Power Management
