INTERNAL VACANCY
ANNOUNCEMENT
ICT Division is inviting applications from suitably
qualified officers within the Authority to fill the vacant position of ICT
Support Officer. The successful candidates will laterally move to ICT at the
same grade and be promoted to D3 after successfully completing the induction
period of six months.

(After induction of 6 months)
Specific duties
§ Troubleshooting
and repairing hardware, operating systems and applications issues;
§ Troubleshooting
and fixing basic issues of computer networking;
§ Reporting
any suspected ICT security breaches to the line Manager;
§ Managing
ICT ServiceDesk through timely logging, updating, escalation and closure of
issues;
§ Installing
and configuring ICT hardware and software;
§ Testing
and evaluating new technology and systems;
§ Maintaining
an inventory of ICT equipment and ensure the inventory is up-to-date;
§ Conducting
periodic preventive maintenance on ICT equipment;
§ Monitoring
and maintaining computer systems for optimal performance;
§ Enhancing
business process automation through appropriate upgrades and process
improvements;
§ Conducting
and evaluating end user training for ICT equipment and systems;
§ Participating
in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of automated systems;
§ Adhering
to set standards, processes and procedures in ICT Service Management.
Qualification and
Experience
§ The candidate must possess a minimum
of a Bachelor`s Degree in Information Management Systems or Information
Technology or Computer Science or its equivalent from a recognised and
accredited University
§ Possession of ITIL
Certification or Microsoft Certification will be an added advantage
